How 'bout that "June Gloom?"

June is my birthday month. How could anyone associate anything "gloomy" with my birthday month? We've had about 2 straight weeks of fog and cloudy skies. There's about 2-3 hours in the late afternoon or evening that the sun's peeked out, but it's gray and misty the rest of the day.

With how easily everyone was referring to "June Gloom," I was beginning to think that this is common for Southern California in June! However, I've learned that we're about 10 degrees below normal, and it's not been like this in past years. Phew! But forecasters say it's here for at least another week.

I'm ready for sunshine and lots of it! Please sunbeams... won't you come out and play? You had better be back when I get back from Hawaii!
